Goshen Methodist Church- Goshen Tornado

What we did-

Goshen Methodist Church faced significant challenges when an EF2 Tornado swept through Goshen on July 6, 2022, causing severe damage. Unfortunately, the troubles persisted as a broken water main on Christmas Day led to standing water within the building. In response, our team sprang into action, providing generators right after the tornado to ensure the food pantry's refrigerators remained operational and delivering emergency tarping services.

The recovery efforts were comprehensive. We orchestrated the installation of crucial elements, including a new roof, siding, front window wall, and a tongue and groove overlay for the sanctuary ceiling. Enhancements were also made, such as the replacement of the LED sign, the refinishing of pews, the installation of new HVAC units, and updates to the electric systems.

In the aftermath of the water damage, a rapid response was initiated. The soaked carpet and cove base were promptly removed, followed by the strategic placement of commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to restore stability to the environment. As progress continued, all flooring was replaced, and a fresh coat of paint breathed new life into all the rooms. Practical improvements encompassed the replacement of bathroom partitions and the renovation of the majority of the drop ceiling.

Through these extensive efforts, Goshen Methodist Church not only recuperated from the twin challenges of a tornado and water damage but emerged stronger, with upgraded facilities that are better equipped to serve the congregation and community.

Single Family Home- Dayton Tornado

What we did-

This single family home suffered damage from a EF 4 tornado in Dayton, Ohio. We were tasked with providing superior documentation to the insurance company, cutting back the tree that damaged the home, and tarping the roof. Once the owner confirmed coverage with the insurance company, we were hired to complete the repairs from the tornado along with many more “self paid” upgrades the owner opted into to bring the property back to its previous glory!

Duplex- Dayton Tornado

What we did-
The occupied duplex was damaged by a large tornado in the middle of the night. Almost the entire property, inside and out, was damaged from the wind, roof leaking, or wind driven debris. We were tasked to completely gut the interior and remodel, replace multiple trusses, replace the roof and sheathing, and rebuild the front wall that collapsed due to the high winds. The owner of the building opted to upgrade the interior when rebuilding, providing a sturdy, up to code, and beautiful property!

Residential Garage House Fire

What we did-
An electrical fire started in the garage when no one was home resulting in extensive damage throughout with smoke penetrating the entire structure. We helped by boarding it up and brought in air scrubbers to filter the air. We then removed all damaged contents, cleaned the home thoroughly to rid it of the smoke smell, and rebuilt the garage.

Residential House Fire

What we did-

A friend accidentally threw a cigarette bud into the front bushes igniting the dried brush and catching fire, engulfing this home in flames and smoke. We were tasked to provide emergency services(tarping, board up, air filtering), content cleaning and pack out, structural cleaning, as well as restoring the entire project. Nearly every building component was affected both inside and out. Besides the structural components, the property is now 100% brand new!

Apartment with Mold

What we did-
An unhappy tenant decided to clog the bathroom tub and flooded this entire apartment. The issue was discovered more than a couple weeks later with the water still on! We were tasked with testing, evaluating, and remediating the mold from this apartment. Quite a large amount of demolition was needed due to the mold growing within the walls. Our certified technicians remediated every square inch of the property after demolition and then sealed it with an antimicrobial sealer. The property is now safe and prepared for reconstruction!

Our Lady of Sorrows School Flood

What we did-

After a large rainstorm, a sump pump collecting water at the bottom of an exterior stairwell failed causing the water to enter under the door and flooded the 3,000 SF school level in the basement with 2 inches of water. We were tasked to deploy emergency service extraction and environment stabilization until the claim could be reviewed by insurance. Upon review and approval, the walls were flood cut, the carpet was removed, and all affected surfaces were disinfected followed by drying of the structure. Afterwards, the affected rooms were restored back to their pre-loss condition along with a few upgrades.
